The Eagle Has Landed

So an eagle has made a nest somewhere around the campus of Case (Western Reserve (University)). I’ve probably seen it four or five times before today, but it seems like today something cooler is happening.

Today on two seperate occasions I’ve seen people crowding around a tree watching this thing. The first time it wasn’t really doing much, it was just sitting in a tree. But the second time, a squirrel was on the same branch as the eagle and kept trying to get close. It was rather humorous until I realized that under one of the eagle’s massive claws was a squirrel tail.

I wonder if the squirrels were related.
